QUITO, 2nd June 2025 (WAM) -- Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi presented a copy of his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Non-Resident Plenipotentiary of the UAE to the Republic of Ecuador to Gabriela Sommerfeld, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, at the headquarters of the Ministry in the capital, Quito.
Al Alawi conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Ecuador.
Furthermore, Al Alawi expressed his pride in representing the UAE in Ecuador and affirmed his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors, which contributes to reinforcing ties between both nations.
For her part, Sommerfeld conveyed her greetings to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and her wishes for further progress and growth for the government and people of the UAE.
She also wished the ambassador success in his work, stressing her country's readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his duties.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of cooperation between the UAE and Ecuador and ways of developing them to achieve the interests and aspirations of both countries and their peoples.
