BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Huracan's Argentine Primera Division title hopes suffered a blow on Saturday with a 1-0 away defeat to San Lorenzo.
Ezequiel Cerutti gave the hosts the lead in the third minute with a long-range effort after combining with Juan Mendez.
It proved all that San Lorenzo needed as Ruben Insua's men clinched their first league victory since August. The Buenos Aires outfit are now 12th in the 28-team standings with 30 points from 22 games, 11 points behind leaders Atletico Tucuman. Huracan are fourth with 37 points.
Elsewhere, Andres Chavez converted a second-half penalty to earn Banfield a 1-1 home draw against Godoy Cruz. The visitors had gone ahead on the stroke of halftime via Tomas Badaloni's close-range effort.
In other fixtures on Saturday, Sarmiento drew 0-0 at Central Cordoba, and Platense were held to a goalless home draw by Defensa y Justicia.
