SAO PAULO, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Sao Paulo have announced the signing of Argentine striker Nahuel Bustos on a year-long loan from Manchester City.
The 24-year-old met his new teammates on Friday and is expected to be available for the six-time Brazilian Serie A champions next week.
"I'm very glad to be here. I didn't think twice when the opportunity arose to come to Sao Paulo," Bustos told a news conference.
The center-forward, who joined Manchester City from Talleres Cordoba in 2020, spent last season on loan at Spanish club Girona.
He will form a strike partnership with fellow Argentine Jonathan Calleri, who is the third top-scorer in Brazil's Serie A this season with 10 goals from 19 games.
Sao Paulo are currently 10th in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings with just five wins from 20 matches.
