SAO PAULO, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Brazil under-20 forward Marcos Leonardo struck late as Santos earned a 2-2 home draw with Fluminense in the Brazilian Serie A championship on Monday.
Luiz Felipe opened the scoring for the hosts by bundling home from close range in the 16th minute following Lucas Barbosa's headed pass.
Paulo Henrique Ganso put the visitors on level terms against his former club when he converted a penalty after Sandry Roberto brought down Matheus Martins.
Jhon Arias gave Fluminense the lead a minute later, sending a powerful shot from outside the area into the bottom right corner having been set up by Argentine striker German Cano.
But the hosts rallied in the final minutes and they were given their reward when 19-year-old Leonardo ran onto Angelo Gabriel's pass and lashed a cool finish into the top right corner.
The result leaves Fluminense third in the 20-team standings with 35 points from 20 games, seven points behind leaders Palmeiras. Santos are ninth, eight points further back.
