Capitals, SANA- The worldwide novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 5,509,000 people since its outbreak in late 2019, according to the last statistics of American Worldometers Website.
The total number of the worldwide coronavirus infections has reached up to 309,908,896, while the fatalities have amounted to 5,509,989, and the recoveries have reached up to 260,310,967, according to the site.
The US still tops the worst affected countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths as it has recorded 859,994 deaths out of 61,772,968 infections.
India comes second with 483,936 deaths out of 35,869,947 infections, and then Brazil comes in the third place as it has registered 620,091 deaths out of 22,558,695 infections.
